Ochiltree Favicon

We’re trained users of Accoya Wood® at Ochiltree Joinery. Discover more about this wonderful eco-friendly timber and how we can integrate it into your next project.

What Is Accoya Wood?

Accoya wood is a modified wood, used in doors, windows, fencing, decking and various types of bespoke joinery.

Sustainably sourced softwood is treated with acetic acid to make it stronger and resistant to rot, insects, and decay.

We’re trained users of Accoya wood, meaning we’ve received extensive training on how to handle, install, and maintain it. This means we can help you make the most of this stunning timber.

Frequently Asked questions

Do we use any other types of woods?

Yes. As well as Accoya, we also use durable hardwoods and softwoods.

When we work with you, we’ll explain the advantages and limitations of each product and help you make an informed choice of which wood is best for your project.

Which products do we use Accoya timber for?

We can use Accoya wood across all the doors and windows we design and build.

We understand heritage doors and windows must be similar in style and material to the originals. If Accoya isn’t an option, we will recommend some good alternatives.
